My dad passed away a few months ago. Yesterday I received a package in the mail he had saved for me with tickets from the first game he ever took me to. Needless to say, these are super special to me.

TIL that when Ichiro learned the Mariners were going to give him #51, the same number worn by Randy Johnson, he sent Johnson a personal message promising not to "bring shame" to the uniform. He went on to win MVP that season.
